Sustainability Efforts

Sustainability Efforts - Cedar Grove Partnership

Together For A Greener Future

In an effort to reduce the environmental footprint of events at Angel Of The Winds Arena, we are proud to announce our new partnership with Cedar Grove. This collaboration is dedicated to reducing organic waste, ensuring that less food waste ends up in landfills, and promoting sustainability in the community.

Sustainability In Action

Through this partnership, Cedar Grove processes all food and organic waste from each event, located just 5 miles from the arena. By working together, we’re significantly lowering the amount of waste that ends up in local landfills. This not only helps in waste reduction but also supports the community in creating more sustainable practices at every event hosted at Angel Of The Winds Arena.

A Commitment To Zero Waste

Angel Of The Winds Arena has made a steadfast commitment to Zero Waste. As part of that mission, the arena uses 100% compostable cups and serviceware for all events. Thanks to Cedar Grove’s state-of-the-art composting process, our diversion rate continues to increase, ensuring that more waste is recycled or repurposed into something useful rather than discarded.

A Better Tomorrow

By working with Cedar Grove, Angel Of The Winds Arena is contributing to a circular economy that benefits both people and the planet. Together, we are transforming waste into valuable resources, improving the quality of life locally while reducing our environmental impact. Every event at the arena helps us take a step closer to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Sustainability At The Core Of Oak View Group

As part of the Oak View Group (OVG) family, Angel Of The Winds Arena embraces sustainability as a core tenet of venue management and operations. This partnership with Cedar Grove reflects OVG’s larger vision: to foster a culture of environmental responsibility at every OVG-managed venue, creating meaningful change for communities, guests, and the planet.

Cedar Grove’s Impact

Each year, Cedar Grove diverts over 350,000 tons of organic waste from landfills, converting it into nutrient-rich compost. This compost is used to enrich gardens, landscapes, and agricultural operations, helping to improve air, soil, and water quality naturally. By revitalizing what was once discarded, Cedar Grove plays a vital role in making our community greener and more sustainable.
