Visiting & Non-Resident Coaches
Everett Community Ice Rink welcomes approved visiting and non-resident coaches to teach only during freestyle and stick & puck sessions. Public sessions and members-only sessions are reserved for resident Everett Community Ice Rink coaches.
Who May Coach at Our Rink
All visiting and non-resident coaches must have:
- Current liability insurance
- Valid certification or membership through the applicable governing body (e.g., Learn to Skate USA, USFS, or USA Hockey, depending on discipline)
- SafeSport compliance
All visiting and non-resident coaches must be approved by rink management prior to teaching.
How to Request Approval
To request approval:
- Submit required documentation to michelle.madejski@oakviewgroup.com.
- Receive confirmation from rink management prior to conducting any lessons.
Coaching without prior approval is not permitted.
Ice Fees
Visiting and non-resident coaches must pay the applicable coach fee for each visit at the front desk ($10 for every 30 minutes). Coaching from the boards (or any off-ice area) is subject to the same approval and fee requirements.
Rink Policies
Visiting and non-resident coaches must:
- Teaching only during approved sessions and pay required fees
- Respect ice etiquette and sharing space courteously
- Ensure all students have purchased proper ice time prior to stepping on the ice.
- Conduct lessons in a professional and safe manner.
- Follow all rink policies.
Coaching privileges may be revoked. Approval may also be limited based on ice availability and session capacity.
