  • Spectra Venue Management Names Corey Margolis as General Manager at Angel Of The Winds Arena

    Spectra Venue Management, operators of Angel Of The Winds Arena, welcomed Corey Margolis as the facility’s new General Manager.

     Margolis relocated to Everett from the Spectra managed Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario.
    In his new role as General Manager, he will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Angel Of The Winds Arena including booking, finance, events, box office, marketing, client relations, and corporate sales for the Arena, Edward D. Hansen Conference Center and the Everett Community Ice Rink.

    “Corey has done a tremendous job for Spectra in Ontario, increasing the profile of the venue, booking new events and generating positive revenue for our client,” said Spectra Regional Vice President Rick Hontz. “The experience he has will be an asset to the Everett Public Facilities District in driving successful events to Angel Of The Winds Arena.”

    During his time as Assistant General Manager at the Budweiser Gardens, Margolis was instrumental in expanding booking relationships with industry promoters and confirmed multiple first-time events for the facility. In 2016, Margolis was chosen by the International Association of Venue Managers Foundation (IAVMF) for its 30|UNDER|30 program, which focuses on identifying and developing the top-talent in the venue management industry.

    Margolis started working in the live entertainment industry as a stage hand and audio engineer while attending the University of Southern California. He began his career with Spectra in 2011 as the Event Manager at the Encana Events Centre located in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Within two years, Margolis was promoted to Assistant General Manager & Director of Events at the Abbotsford Centre in British Columbia.

    Since the multi-purpose facility opened in October 2003, Angel Of The Winds Arena has entertained over five and a half million guests, sold more than four million tickets, and hosted over 1,650 events.
