  • Everett Silvertips Annual Pink The Rink Fundraising Game This Friday
    10/5/2018

The Everett Silvertips are set to take on the Seattle Thunderbirds this Friday, October 5 at 7:35 PM for the team’s annual Pink The Rink night, which raised over $67,000 last year for the Providence Regional Medical Center. The iconic masts atop Angel Of The Winds Arena will be lit up in pink all week to show support for the Silvertips signature fundraising game.

Fans are encouraged to come dressed in pink to support the event’s goal to increase awareness of the importance of screenings and early detection, as well as aiding in the fight against breast cancer.

The Silvertips will wear an exclusive pink-trimmed specialty jersey for the game. Signed game worn players’ jerseys are available online on a first-come, first-serve basis through a “Buy It Now” option at everettsilvertips.com/pinktherinkjerseyauction. Remaining jerseys can be purchased via silent auction at the game until bidding closes at the end of the second period. All winning bidders receive a photo opportunity with their respective Silvertips player immediately following the game.

There will be a variety of opportunities for fans in attendance to make a contribution at this season’s event. In addition to the jersey auction and ticket specials, Spectra Management will contribute $1 to the Pink The Rink Fund for every bag of pink popcorn sold during the game.

Proceeds from Pink The Rink benefit the Providence General Foundation, in support of breast health activities and free mammograms for women in Snohomish County facing financial challenges. To date, the Silvertips have raised over $648,000 from Pink The Rink, providing approximately 5,000 free mammograms and breast cancer treatment for those in need within the local community.
